Beaumont’s Social Master Plan


The City of Beaumont is undertaking a Social Master Plan (SMP) that will guide the community for the next ten years. The goal of the plan is to create a framework for developing, assessing and continuously improving the quality of life for Beaumont residents.

The plan, which is being led by Family & Community Support Services (FCSS), has been developed through engagement with citizens and stakeholder groups in Beaumont over several months.

June 2019: Urban Matters and Kim Williston, Director, Beaumont FCSS provided a final report on the Social Master Plan.

  • Council accepted the recommendation to approve the Our Inclusivity – Beaumont Social Master Plan as presented.
  • Council also accepted the recommendation to consider Canada’s Social Determinants of Health, as outlined in the Social Master Plan, in all future growth and development in Beaumont.
  • FCSS will be developing an implementation strategy based on the recommendations in the Social Master Plan in Fall 2019.
