Our Zoning Blueprint: Land Use Bylaw

Beaumont is Rewriting its Land Use Bylaw in a project called Our Zoning Blueprint and invites you to learn about the rewrite and provide feedback.

Together with residents and stakeholders, we have been working to update our Municipal Development Plan (MDP) called Our Complete Community. Our MDP is the long-term Plan that guides our community’s growth over the next 30 years. The draft is now complete and is available here Our Complete Community. To implement Our Complete Community, Beaumont is updating our Land Use Bylaw called Our Zoning Blueprint.

Zoning Blueprint Survey - We want your input.

The Land Use Bylaw establishes rules and standards for the use and development of land and buildings. Land Use Bylaws:

  • divide the municipality into specific districts that identify which uses can occur on a parcel of land,
  • contain details on how to make applications for development permits,
  • cover how and by whom decisions on applications are made,
  • outline the conditions that can be attached for decisions on land use applications, and
  • establish development regulations like site setbacks, landscaping, parking, building heights and signage.

Feedback collected will help to set the direction for the new rules and standards in Our Zoning Blueprint.

We invite you to participate in the survey below.
